Indoors VS. Outdoors for Balloons

Choosing a space for your balloon set up to be in can be challenging. Outdoor weather can be tricky and indoors can be cramped, but both have their pros and cons! Let’s see what the pros of both indoor and outdoor balloon set ups are!

Pros of Indoors

  1. Climate control - Balloons like climate control!! A nice, room temperature between 65-70 degrees is the climate that balloons do best in, so if you set up indoors at this temperature your balloons do not run as much of a risk of shrinking (in the cold) or popping (in the heat).

  2. Design flexibility and array of rigging points - Indoors, you often have many more rigging points and do not have to always rent a backdrop to put your balloons on!

  3. Lighting can be more controlled - While natural light is always a plus, when indoors you have more control over the kind of lighting you have for photos.

Pros of Outdoors

  1. Potentially much more space - When outdoors, the sky is the limit on how much space you have! You can spread out and have as much space as you want and are not limited by ceiling height.

  2. Natural light - If you are one for pictures, natural light is your best friend! On a sunny day, you can utilize all that natural light for your photo set up and really make those photos Instagram worthy!

  3. Beauty of nature as your backdrop - If you live in a picturesque place, nature can really add to your set up! Especially if you live near the mountains or beautiful trees, nature can enhance your set up!
