When to Book Your Balloons

While sometimes it may never be too early to book with your balloon decorator, there are some instances it is too late.

Balloons are growing in popularity so decorators are being booked more and more. Giving your preferred decorator at least 3 weeks notice is ideal, but if it is possible to give them even more notice they will greatly appreciate you! Anything under 3 weeks can make it difficult to book with your decorator for three reasons:

  1. They may not have availability during your preferred delivery and set-up time.

  2. They may not have time to gather and order any specialty balloons that you may want.

  3. They may not have time during the week to assemble your arrangement.

As I said before, balloons are growing in popularity fast and are being booked more and more every day. So if you try to book with a decorator for the next calendar weekend, it is unlikely they will have any availability at all.

Many decorators do their best to keep standard latex colors in stock, but for a design that requires specialty latex balloons or unique foil balloons, the decorator may have to order those balloons just for your job. And if they are given a week’s notice to get those balloons ordered, they will most likely have to pay more in shipping to get them in time for the weekend.

The last reason that giving anything under 3 weeks’ notice for booking balloon decor is risky is that your balloon decorator is most likely doing everything by themselves. So if they try to squeeze in another job on an already full weekend, they are going to have to take time in that week leading up to the job to get your balloons assembled and this is not always possible for someone running a business by themselves.

This is in no way trying to shame those that inquire about balloons with little notice, this blog post is simply aiming to bring awareness! If you are able to give your decorator at least 3 weeks’ notice or more for your balloon order, they will greatly appreciate you, guaranteed!
